Carlo Litrenta of Lansing, MI, born September 27,1962, passed away December 29, at the age of 58. He was preceded in death by parents, Natale and Virginia (Baldino) Litrenta; sister, Diana Michaud; and father and mother-in-law, Michael and Patricia DeRose.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Janet; sister, Rose Perna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mario Michaud, Frank DeRose, Eva (Ron) Motz, Christine DeRose, Theresa DeRose (Sharon), Patricia (Lars) Cole, Michelle DeRose (Gilbert) and Martha (Chuck) Slager; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces; and close cousins.
Carlo had a passion for cars and all things related and was a member of The Capital City Corvette Club. He loved slurpees and scratch off lottery tickets. He was a fixture at South Washington Food Market, the family business he went on to own and run. He loved talking to customers, delivery people and especially loved when family stopped in for a visit. The store was where he carried on Italian family traditions, such as making sausage, which he learned working with his father and uncle. He could spend hours reminiscing and had a knack for telling a story, which is fitting because anyone that knew him has a “Carlo Story” to tell. Through those stories, he will forever be remembered.
Immediate family members will hold a private service due to current COVID-19 health concerns. You may express condolences or share a memory at www.dignitymemorial.com
